Here’s what you will get to achieve as a CNC Machinist/Operator:

Set-Up and Operation: Work closely with the team to prepare, set up, and operate CNC machines for turning, threading, milling, and drilling operations with tight tolerances. Your contribution will be vital in ensuring efficient and accurate machining processes.

Blueprint Interpretation and Schematics Reading: Utilize your skills in reading schematics, blueprints, part drawings, and inspection sheets to execute machining tasks accurately and according to specifications.

Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement: Demonstrate your problem-solving abilities to address quality issues and troubleshoot problems related to tools and machines. Your insights and solutions will contribute to the continuous improvement of our machining processes.

Material Preparation and Testing: Collaborate with the team in preparing and loading raw materials and parts onto the machines. Conduct test runs to verify that machines produce outputs within specified requirements.

Supervision and Adjustments: Monitor the machines during operation, making necessary adjustments to enhance the quality and efficiency of the machining process.

Inspection and Quality Assurance: Perform inspections and measurements on finished products, comparing them against requirements to ensure proper completion of the process. Maintain a focus on quality and precision throughout.

Machine Maintenance and Housekeeping: Participate in the daily maintenance of machinery to ensure optimal functionality. Adhere to safety guidelines and promote a clean and organized workplace following 5S principles.

Effective Communication: Collaborate with management and communicate any quality or safety issues promptly. Your proactive communication will contribute to a safe and productive work environment.

Qualifications of a CNC Support/Operator:

· Strong problem-solving skills.

· Ability to effectively communicate to all employees and departments.

· Strong mechanical aptitude.

· High school level of understanding of algebra and geometry.

· Motivated self-starter.

· Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

· Must follow all safety rules and regulations.

· Ability to follow instructions, pay attention to machines and parts, listening to how tools sound, wear of tools, visually observing parts and tool wear.

Qualifications of a CNC Machinist/Operator:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Machinist/Operator.
  • CNC Machining: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Preferred experience with CNC Swiss Lathe machines, such as STAR’s CNC machines, Doosan Lynx 2100, or similar equipment.
  • Proficiency in understanding specifications, reading blueprints, and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Advanced knowledge of precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Strong commitment to safety and a proactive attitude toward improving safety and housekeeping practices on the production floor.
