Job Description – Quality Assurance Inspector (Mechanical) – 3rd Shift 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM

The Quality Assurance Inspector (Mechanical) supports the manufacturing department by ensuring products meet the specified standards and specifications of the drawings. This is done by performing in-process inspection on parts during fabrication in an air-conditioned manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities include:

Performing visual and dimensional inspection of product in accordance with engineering drawings, inspection record sheets, and shop orders.

Recording inspection results on inspection sheets located at CNCs.

Reporting non-conformance data to manufacturing leads and the Quality Department.

Following safety, inspection, and manufacturing procedures.

Maintaining a safe and clean environment.

The following qualifications are needed to perform the duties of the Quality Assurance Inspector (Mechanical):

High School Diploma or GED.

Ability to accurately read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and other manufacturing documents.

Experience using inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, drop indicators, and other gauges.

Strong math skills, especially working with decimals.

Strong attention to details.

Ability to stand for 8 hours.

Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.

Maintain a reliable, team-oriented work ethic.

Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
